Logan Paul’s Attempt to Enter UFC 300
Speaking on his Impaulsive podcast, Paul revealed that he personally reached out to Dana White ahead of UFC 300, offering to fight on the undercard of the milestone event at The Sphere in Las Vegas. However, his message was met with complete silence.
I told Dana for UFC 300, I texted him, ‘Hey man, consider me available to fight on the undercard in the Sphere. […] Basically, [he] completely ignored me, which I think speaks volumes. I haven’t bothered him about it since.
UFC 306 marked a historic moment as the first event at The Sphere, a futuristic venue known for its immersive fan experience. While Paul had hoped to be part of the spectacle, his ambitions were dashed without even a response from White.
Despite this setback, Paul remains confident in his ability to compete in MMA, believing his diverse background in combat sports gives him an edge over previous WWE-to-MMA crossover attempts.
The CM Punk Factor
Paul speculated that Dana White’s reluctance stems from the failed UFC career of CM Punk. He f***ed it up. […] After that, Dana was like, ‘I’m never doing this again.’ But dude, I’m not CM Punk. He’s a great wrestler, not a UFC fighter. I think I would be a much better UFC fighter than I would be as just a boxer. My skill is wrestling. I’m a wrestler.
Paul’s background in amateur wrestling is impressive, he qualified for the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I championships in 2013. Combined with his boxing experience against fighters like KSI, Dillon Danis, and Floyd Mayweather Jr., Paul believes he has the foundation to be competitive in MMA.
Why Dana White Isn’t Interested
Dana White has made it clear that he’s not in the business of celebrity fights unless they truly add value to the UFC. Unlike Brock Lesnar, who had a legitimate wrestling pedigree and won the UFC heavyweight championship, Logan Paul lacks professional MMA experience.
