Artem Lobov has launched another public attack on former teammate Conor McGregor, making serious allegations against the former two-division UFC champion and claiming that people were allegedly sent to burn his car and threaten his 60-year-old mother with a hammer.
The retired MMA fighter made the accusations through a series of posts on X, reigniting his long-running feud with McGregor. Lobov also accused the Irish superstar of mistreating former friends, coaches and members of his team, claiming that several people who helped him during his rise to global stardom were never properly compensated.
The most serious allegation concerned an alleged attempt to intimidate Lobov and his family. Responding to a social media user who questioned why he had not confronted McGregor directly, Lobov claimed that the former UFC champion had used other people to target him.
He went on X, sent people to burn my car and threaten my 60 year old mother with a hammer, but never had the balls to call my number directly – Lobov wrote.
He also took aim at McGregor’s alleged late-night social media activity, adding that the Irishman had called him out at approximately 4 a.m. while he was asleep with his children.
Lobov ended the statement by adding, “Allegedly of course.” The allegations have not been independently verified, and McGregor had not publicly responded to the latest accusations in the reports published on November 3.
Artem Lobov Accuses McGregor of Failing to Pay Former Friends and Teammates
Lobov’s latest comments went beyond the alleged threats, with the former UFC fighter accusing McGregor of repeatedly breaking financial agreements with people who supported his career.
He specifically named several individuals associated with McGregor’s inner circle, including coaches and former teammates, claiming that promises made during business arrangements and training camps were not honoured.
He took care of nobody, he f***ed over his coach and all his best friends Lee, Derek, Gerry Vegas, Charlie myself and others, Lobov wrote.
He also alleged that McGregor failed to fulfil financial commitments involving people who helped generate business opportunities for him. Among the examples provided by Lobov was an alleged payment arrangement involving Gerry Vegas, whom he claimed was promised money at the beginning and conclusion of a training camp. Lobov alleged that the second payment was never made.
He also criticised the reported compensation given to Lee, associated with McGregor’s media platform The Mac Life, and claimed that Derek, another close associate, was dismissed shortly before Christmas. Lobov further accused McGregor’s manager, Audie Attar, of taking money from both men in connection with the Proper No. 12 whiskey business. These claims have not been independently established.
Proper No. 12 Whiskey Dispute Behind the Bitter Fallout
The latest confrontation is another chapter in a bitter dispute that began after the breakdown of what was once a close friendship. Lobov and McGregor were previously training partners at Straight Blast Gym Ireland and were frequently seen together during the early stages of McGregor’s UFC career.
Lobov was also involved in McGregor’s rise during the period when the Irishman became one of the biggest names in combat sports. Their relationship eventually deteriorated over the Proper No. 12 Irish whiskey business. Lobov claimed that he helped develop the idea for the brand and negotiated its launch, arguing that McGregor had verbally promised him five per cent of the eventual sale proceeds.
McGregor denied that such an agreement existed, leading to a legal battle that began in 2022. The dispute was finally settled in April 2026, shortly before the case was due to proceed to trial. The financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
McGregor had previously acknowledged Lobov’s contribution to the whiskey business in a statement read during the settlement proceedings, thanking him for his hard work. However, the resolution of the legal dispute has clearly not ended the personal animosity between the former friends.
Lobov Says McGregor Is No Longer the Person He Once Knew
Despite the severity of his accusations, Lobov also reflected on the friendship he once shared with McGregor, describing their relationship as one built on loyalty and mutual support.
He recalled standing by McGregor during his rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov, particularly in the build-up to the infamous UFC 223 bus incident in April 2018.
Lobov suggested that he had defended McGregor’s honour during that period because he considered him a brother.
We were brothers and had each others backs no matter what. Trouble with Khabib was over me defending his honor and not allowing Khabib talk bad about my brother. That Conor is no longer here unfortunately, he wrote.
He went on to criticise what he believes has changed in McGregor’s personality, attributing the deterioration of their relationship to money, fame and alleged substance abuse. Lobov also suggested that the McGregor he knew during their earlier years would not have treated his friends and teammates in the same manner. These comments represent Lobov’s personal opinions and allegations rather than independently established conclusions.
Conor McGregor Yet to Respond to Latest Allegations
McGregor has not publicly addressed Lobov’s latest accusations in the reports published on November 3. The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion remains a central figure in combat sports. He returned at UFC 329 in July 2026 after five years away, but lost to Max Holloway by first-round TKO after injuring his knee seconds into the fight, and speculation about his fighting future has continued since. The renewed feud comes as McGregor has been discussing the possibility of another UFC appearance, describing his next fight as potentially his final outing.
Lobov has questioned those ambitions, suggesting that McGregor’s motivation for returning is no longer connected to sporting competition.
For now, the latest accusations have added another layer to a dispute that has already involved business disagreements, legal proceedings and years of public exchanges. Whether McGregor responds remains to be seen. However, given the seriousness of the claims involving alleged intimidation of Lobov and his family, the latest confrontation is considerably more serious than the pair’s previous exchanges on social media.
