UFC CEO Dana White isn’t backing down. In a candid sit-down with Tucker Carlson, White laid out exactly why Bryce Mitchell won’t face consequences for his controversial comments about Adolf Hitler—remarks that sparked outrage across the MMA world.
White’s Take: No Lawyers, No Canned Statements
Mitchell, known for his outspoken nature, came under fire after defending Hitler as “a good guy” on his Arksanity podcast. He later walked back his statement with an Instagram apology, but the damage was done. Many expected swift action from the UFC, yet White made it clear: That’s not how he operates.
“I don’t do canned statements. I don’t have lawyers write my responses. Everything I say is exactly how I feel—whether people like it or not,” White told Carlson.
Rather than taking immediate disciplinary action, White opted for a different approach.
“You know what I did? I got on Google,” he admitted. “I looked up World War II, refreshed my memory on what a piece of s*** Hitler was, and made sure Bryce understood why he’s not a guy you’d want to go fishing with.”
UFC vs. Other Sports: Dana White Runs the Show
White emphasized that the UFC isn’t like the NFL, NBA, or other major sports leagues with a centralized governing body. He calls the shots—period.
“A lot of what I do is based on my gut,” White explained. “This is my company, and I’ll run it the way I want.”
Mitchell’s future in the UFC remains intact, despite the backlash. While some fans and fighters demand consequences, White is standing firm, showing once again that the UFC plays by its own rules.
For now, the controversy rages on. Will it impact Mitchell’s career long-term? Only time will tell.
