Former UFC double champion and BKFC stakeholder Conor McGregor has once again vowed to step into the world of bare-knuckle boxing.
McGregor Confirms BKFC Plans
Speaking at a BKFC press conference in Italy, Conor McGregor made it clear that fighting in the promotion isn’t just talk—it’s a certainty.
“Yes. Yes. The warrior spirit burns strong inside me,” McGregor declared. “If you think I’m just up here giving speeches, leading these men into battle without stepping in myself, think again. For sure—Conor McGregor will fight in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Mark my words.”
UFC Contract and Possible Exemption
While McGregor remains under contract with the UFC for two more fights, he has previously floated the idea of a UFC-BKFC crossover that would allow him to compete in bare-knuckle boxing.
“Maybe an exemption, maybe a joint partnership,” he suggested last August. “Bare Knuckle/UFC, like McGregor Sports & Entertainment with Mayweather Promotions. I need to stay busy, and we’re working on it. Let’s see what happens.”
Potential Opponents in BKFC
McGregor is already sizing up possible opponents for his BKFC debut.
“There are a lot of exciting matchups—Mike Perry, Jeremy Stephens, even a rematch with Eddie Alvarez,” he mused. “I’m open to it all. Let’s see when the time comes.”
